Axiocteta oenoplex (An Erebid moth (Catocalini)

The adult moth of this species has brown forewings each with a a pattern of dark markings and a curved pale spot in the middle. Each forewing has a cusp halfway along the margin. The hindwings are pale brown with vague curvy dark bands shading into a dark area around the tornus, and a sparse arc of dark dots around the margin. The wingspan is about 3 cms. The species has been found in Queensland,and New South Wales.
