Poaceae.

What I found:

Poa is a genus within the family Poaceae.

Poa includes grasses like Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis), and Poaceae is the large family of grasses that includes all true grasses like wheat, corn, bamboo, and rice.

That should cover it. :-)

Looks to me like an a Aristida species. Lisa poaceae is the grass family - it contains all grasses including Poa

That was my point

The spikelets are not clear, but it could be an Aristida.

Sorry that the photos are not very good. I’m happy to just leave it as a species in the grass family.

Family Poaceae, not genus Poa.

Yeah i'll fix it to Poaceae botanical family (not the genus Poa ) .

Done .

Had to click the "? Can't find it" button to access the "Global Au list of grasses species"
in which this Poaceae (family) is found as it had not been utilised until now in the Townsville NatureMapr region.
